Hi, I’m antonia anastasiou.
My health journey began when I was around 10 years old and had constant stomach aches, general fatigue, and a hard time getting up in the morning. After exhausting most options my parents decided to get my sister and I allergy tested. Low and behold, we both came back with gluten and dairy allergies. We became gluten free before gluten free was in style and there were barely any alternatives out there that didn’t taste like cardboard. Nonetheless, this was the first time I learned what I put in my body directly impacts how I feel. This was when it all started for me.
Throughout high school and college, I experimented with all of the “fad” health trends and diets trying to figure out what formula of lifestyle and diet were optimal for my body. I have learned that what works for one person may not work for another. We are all bio-individual. It has been a journey of adapting to the needs of my changing body and really figuring out what will make me feel the best day to day so that I can shine in all areas of my life.
A health journey is not linear though, and I have dealt with many ups and downs since originally becoming gluten and dairy-free. This forced me to become even more interested in educating myself in the health and wellness space.
Towards the end of college, I realized health had truly become one of my biggest passions. After finishing my undergrad at San Diego State University I enrolled in the Institute of Integrative Nutrition where I got certified as a Holistic Health and Nutrition Coach. I found a way to marry my two passions in life: health and helping people.
I have been through so much regarding my health and I believe that has only made my ability to help others more profound. I see good health as the stable platform we all can have to jump off from to be the best in our lives. I am committed to the idea that every person deserves to feel their best and shine in their life. Sometimes all it takes are a few lifestyle tweeks, support, or a change in mindset. I am an expert in nutrition, food allergies, sleep, stress management, spirituality practices, movement, and more. My knowledge comes not only from the schooling I have had but also from the real-life experiences I have gone through. I am here to serve you in the best way possible for your overall health.
My Approach
I go by the mantra that one persons cure may be another persons poison. That’s why my approach is bio-individual. I am about finding the right nutrition, exercise routine, sleep regimen, stress management practices, and more for your full body wellness so that you can truly shine in your life and be your best self.
